PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

Wits classifies foreign postgraduates as Supernumerary Registrars, the route used by non-South African doctors in neurosurgery training; the faculty notes the application process is very long because of legislative requirements.

Wits neurosurgery registrars train across Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital and Helen Joseph Hospital, with MMed research projects.
